Story time: I’m on the board of a small repertory theatre company who shares a space with another, to say the least, entitled theatre group.
During our last show they were setting up for their own show in the same space (there was a good month of different between the dates so there wasn’t a terrible conflict there) and they put us through hell. They loudly built their set during out rehearsal time, were directly horrifically rude and passive aggressive to us, wanted to do a cabaret to raise money for their show on OUR SET (they ended up putting up a wall in front of it without our consent) and we were told (by more than one of their actors) the heads of the group talked so badly about us to their actors that they were afraid to come audition for our next show!
After a particularly grueling experience with them, a few of us blew off steam by joking about protesting their asshattery by building a barricade on their set as revenge.
And I succeeded. Mostly. Being involved with costumes is exhausting.
